Author Spotlight – Sophia Perkins
I recently read and reviewed the book Killer Mother by Sophia Perkins. I really enjoyed it and I’m looking forward to the next book from the author. Since I’ve already told you about the book, now is a perfect time to also tell you more about the author. I had the pleasure of interviewing Sophia about her writing, her book, and herself and I’m happy to share this with you below.
About the Author
At just the age of 27, Sophia Perkins is a Debut Author. Killer Mother is her first novel and published work. In her free time, she loves to paint. Abstract painting is her favorite form of art, and she occasionally draws and paints landscape scenes. Color and nature are her sources of inspiration for her artwork. Sophia is an animal lover who thoroughly loves and enjoys music. She primarily listens to alternative and rock music, and Mötley Crüe is her favorite band. She lives in Texas and works as an EMT. Sophia believes creativity can change the world.

Q. What do you love most about writing?
A. What I love most about writing is its ability to allow to enter an alternate world. I can lose myself in the creative process and create a fascinating new reality. It allows for inspiration, excitement, and psychological adventure and exploration.
Q. What do you think readers will love about your book?
A. My book – Killer Mother – is genre-bending, which means it combines all sorts of genres into one fast-paced and relatively short read. It is a psychological thriller, with heavy elements of horror. Romance is indeed a subgenre, as well. I believe my book adds a fresh perspective and unique addition to the horror genre, as it delves into a unique perspective on the concept of Spirituality. It is a multi-dimensional novel told in the perspective of two different people.
