Markie Kitchens – Author Spotlight
Today I want to tell you about Markie Kitchens and her book, Surviving My Psycho. Markie lives in Savannah, Ga and is an educator with the Savannah Chatham County School system.
Surviving My Psycho
This book is loosely inspired by a true story. It follows a middle-class family with a strong reputation in their community. What makes this story compelling is its main character, a triplet who has worked tirelessly to earn her place both within her family and society. She meets the man of her dreams but ultimately settles for someone else. Unbeknownst to her, this decision will become the greatest mistake of her life. The man she chooses is cold, calculating, and manipulative, willing to do whatever it takes to control her. Watch as her world unravels at the hands of the one person she trusted most, only to be saved by the one man she’s always truly loved.

What do you love most about writing?
I love the fact that I get to speak the truth and therefore writing can be therapeutic for my soul and I also get to connect with others that have gone through domestic violence
What do you think readers will love about your books?
It’s based on a true story.

a little of my time goes in to making an outline for a second book. however. I devote most of my time on marketing and promoting this book,
