Another Murder in Jingle Bell Falls – Book Review

by Adam Sheetz

Another Murder in Jingle Bell Falls by Adam Sheetz is the perfect choice if you want a cozy mystery that will make you feel festive. I received a review copy of this book, and I loved it so much! I couldn’t wait to come and tell you all about it.

I didn’t think I was quite ready for the winter holiday season yet, as far as my reading goes, but this one definitely got me into the mood. This charming tale, which takes place in the charming, snow-covered village of Jingle Bell Falls, is full of oddball characters, surprising turns, and plenty of festive spirit. Put this on your TBR right now if you’re searching for a cozy, enjoyable Christmas mystery.

Let’s take a peek at what it’s all about…

When Marigold Morris, the owner of the town’s favorite yarn store and an amateur detective, gets named as the main suspect in a murder investigation, she finds herself in a difficult position. From Chapter One, we meet Marigold and we learn a bit about her and her little yarn shop. I actually love her character and she made me laugh so much throughout the story. I love how well she knows everyone who comes into her shop and the fun banter she has with them. But it’s not all fun and games for poor Marigold as the story takes a turn.

This is a murder mystery, after all…

Marigold is desperate to redeem her name after losing her streak at the annual Christmas Cookie Bake Off, a competition judged by the murder victim herself. She is paired with the tough Deputy Shane Collins during her investigation, which results in a relationship that is equal parts charming and funny. A genuinely enjoyable read is guaranteed when you include Dictionary Davey, a gifted young detective who enjoys cracking cases.

In this whodunit, Adam Sheetz skillfully strikes a mix between charm, comedy, and tension. The plot develops gradually as more facets of the mystery are unveiled, reflecting the rhythms of small-town life. One of the book’s best features is its diverse group of characters. Every character, from Dictionary Davey’s humorous antics to Marigold’s fierce determination, gives the story depth and whimsical touches.

There are so many one-liners that just cracked me up, I’ll be quoting this book for a long time to come. 🙂

Jingle Bell Falls comes to life thanks to Sheetz’s detailed descriptions, which make it simple to picture the scene’s glistening Christmas lights, icy stores, and warm get-togethers. The town is a fantastic setting for a mystery that keeps you wondering until the big reveal because everyone knows one another and secrets are difficult to conceal. Honestly, I didn’t figure out early on like I do with so many mysteries I read, so that was an added bonus.

This smooth reading cozy mystery is a remarkable addition to any holiday reading list because of its joyous atmosphere and deft plot twists. Another Murder in Jingle Bell Falls will satisfy your needs whether you prefer cozy mysteries or are just searching for a pleasant tale to read while sipping chocolate by the fire.

It’s five stars from me and I’d love to read more from this author!
