Author Interview

I had the chance to ask Demeka some questions about herself and her writing so that I can share with you here today.

What do you love most about writing?

What I love most about writing is the ability to express my emotions and experiences in a way that connects with others. It’s a way for me to process my own feelings, heal, and, at the same time, offer a space for others to relate to my journey. Writing is also incredibly empowering – it allows me to share my story and give voice to things that might otherwise be left unsaid. The connection I feel with my readers, knowing that my words can impact their lives, is something truly special.

What do you think readers will love about your books?

I believe readers will love the authenticity and vulnerability of my books. I don’t shy away from the difficult parts of life, and I share my experiences in a way that is both raw and real. My hope is that readers can see themselves in my story and feel empowered to heal and grow through their own struggles. The honest portrayal of trauma, healing, and transformation is something I think will resonate deeply with those who read my books.

Are you currently working on any new books or writing projects?

Yes, I am always working on new projects! While my most recent book, Healing the Hurt of Yesterday, focuses on my personal journey, I am currently exploring more stories of resilience and recovery. I’m working on a follow-up project that dives deeper into how we can all embrace healing and walk into our purpose, no matter what obstacles we face. Writing is an ongoing process for me, and I’m excited to continue sharing my story and the lessons I’ve learned along the way.
