Lunar Whispers of the Heart: Second Chance Werewolf Romance

by Monet Nicole

Selena’s POV:
In the bustling city of LA, my life as a high-paying fashion designer conceals a secret that haunts me beneath the glamour. Night after night, I’m tormented by nightmares that trace back to a past I can’t recall. But when an unexpected turn of events lands me in Tokyo, the echoes of destiny start to unravel. A dream, where an angelic wolf guides me, ignites my curiosity, urging me to seek answers in the shadows.

Xavier’s POV:
As an Alpha King, I’ve conquered realms and challenges, yet the scent of a love lost to time continues to linger. When fate reunites me with Selena, our worlds collide with a spark that defies reason. Amidst ancient rivalries and a looming darkness, her presence rekindles a flame thought extinguished. With secrets whispering in the wind, our journey together takes us to the edge of passion and peril.

Together, “Lunar Whispers of The Heart” weaves a tale where love and destiny interlace under the moon’s luminous glow. Werewolves, dreams, and a love that transcends time merge in a world where reality and fantasy embrace, proving that second chances can be as mystical as the night sky itself.

I was so excited to read this book! If you’re a regular here, you know that I love shifters and werewolves. Paranormal romance is my favorite genre and I was so excited to dive into this one. It’s a first for me by this author, and it did not disappoint. It dives into the action from the very first line of the very first chapter. From there, the pacing is nice as the story unfolds, showing us everything from the point of views of both our female protagonist, Selena, and the male protagonist, Xavier.

In general, I enjoy second-chance romance tropes so seeing that done in PNR, which I also love, was a nice touch. From Xavier, we see pressures from his mother to marry for the benefit of the kingdom. We all know how those arranged marriages can go, but his family needs him to step up and take one “for the team”, so to speak.

We see Selena, a young woman trying to find her way in life when she comes upon a golden wolf who can speak to her telepathically. I especially loved that the guardian angel is named “Moon” and the main character “Selena” since I am fond of the moon and lunar lore and I have a cat named Selene. It was a nice little personal touch for me that made me smile.

The chapters are brief, making them easy to get through even if you only have a short time to read. We see Selena and her friends at Tokyo Fashion Week, and then a betrayal of her friend group. Will she be able to forgive them? From here, the story really kicks up and you’ll have to read it for yourself but I can say that it’s really action-packed for a romance, and I mean that in a good way.

All in all, it’s a nice little shifter romance and I can’t wait to see more from this author because I found it entertaining. You can find it on Amazon in paperback and Kindle edition and it’s also in Kindle Unlimited.
