Shaun S. Fitzgerald – Author Spotlight
Shaun S. Fitzgerald grew up in Carson City, Nevada, and served in the Army before settling in Tallahassee, Florida. He writes horror stories, thrillers, and science-fiction, grounding his works in reality with actual experiences from his travels, and stories he accumulated along the way. When he is not writing, he is researching, building terrifying costumes, at the range on some humid Florida range, or spending time with his wife and loyal Doberman.

What do you love most about writing?
Crafting the worlds to take my readers on a journey through. It’s the connection we share with each other and has been since the oral stories of our ancestors were first muttered.
What do you think readers will love about your books?
My two current novels only share ‘horror’ as the similarity. When I wrote my first novel, A Fold to Extinction, I did it for myself. I never expected it to do well, but it did. Writing Sinner’s Pass on the other hand, tackles some very hard conversations with a horror backdrop. Readers will relate to the characters, even the evil ones. We all wear masks and portray ourselves as ‘good’ which I don’t allow in Sinner’s Pass.
Are you currently working on any new books or writing projects?
I have two series I am currently working on and an additional standalone novel. I also write and share short stories for free on my webpage. Some of these short stories are tied to the novels I write. I like to give fans a little bit of lore they can connect to the novels. My series will be ripe with this.
Where can people follow you online to learn more?
I recommend my newsletter on Substack as I share there monthly and include offers on books. All my links can be found here: linktr.ee/s.s.fitzgerald.writing
Do you have a favorite book or author?
If I had to choose just one author, it would have to be Michael Crichton. Readers of A Fold to Extinction will tell you my love for the Jurassic Park novel was evident. I do have my most influential authors listed in a blog post on my webpage because choosing just one author is so difficult!
