Favour Orlando – Author Spotlight

I am so happy to introduce you to today’s Author Spotlight. This is Favour Orlando, a Christian writer and Bibliophile from Nigeria. I had the chance to sit down with Favour and ask her some questions about her writing and her life. We also want to congratulate her on her 1st place win of the Paradise Gate House Poetry Contest 2023.

What do you love most about writing?

Ans: I love the fact that I have the luxury to express myself in words.

What do you think readers will love about your books?

Ans: I have not written any book yet. But I have written short stories, flash fiction, and poems, and I am sure my readers will enjoy the style, creativity, and authenticity of my works.

Are you currently working on any new books or writing projects?

Ans: No, I am not currently working on any writing projects or books, but I am taking classes to better my skills as a creative writer.

Do you have a favorite book or author?

Ans: Yes, I do. My favourite authors are Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Rémy Ngamije. My favourite books are Purple Hibiscus by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers.

BIOGRAPHY
Favour Orlando is a Christian, a Writer, a graduate of the department of Microbiology from the University of Calabar, Nigeria. She is a Bibliophile, and an inquisitive human from Nigeria. Some of her works have been published by the Shuzia magazine, Writers Space Africa- an international magazine, and elsewhere. She is the winner of the recently concluded Paradise Gate House Poetry Contest 2023. Also, the winner of the Vweta Chadwick Poetry Prize contest 2023, she was the third prize winner in the August-September edition of the Brigitte Poirson Poetry Contest (BPPC) 2022. She loves singing and playing chess in her spare time.
